CDC Releases Guidance for Public Health Strategy in Early Release of MMWR, December 2020
The latest early release Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adds important guidance for COVID-19 pandemic control.
In the report, the CDC calls for universal face mask use, physical distancing, avoidance of nonessential indoor spaces, increased testing, prompt quarantining of exposed persons, postponing travel, enhanced ventilation and hand hygiene, and safeguarding those at risk for severe illness, among a number of other recommendations.
